Healthcare Senior Associate/Vice President
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate/Vice president to join our cross-border healthcare practice. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting the growth of pioneering biopharma companies by driving strategic decision-making, identifying high-potential companies, and facilitating partnerships that deliver cutting-edge therapies to patients in the global region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Research & Analysis: Conduct deep-dive research into the biopharma sector, identifying high-potential companies and novel pipeline assets. Translate scientific and clinical data into actionable insights for strategic recommendations.
Support Cross-Border Transactions: Assist in sourcing investment or partnering opportunities in biopharma and support the transaction process from due diligence to deal execution.
Collaborate on Strategic Projects: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders across time zones to support in/out-licensing, capital raising, co-development, and joint ventures.
Presentation & Reporting: Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and reports for both internal leadership and external clients.
Industry Knowledge: Continuously update knowledge of biopharma trends, market opportunities, and scientific advancements by engaging with clinical trial data, scientific publications, and KOL interviews.
Maintenance of Business Development Relationships: Maintain and grow corporate and institutional biopharma relationships to keep track of competitive landscapes, help with pipeline strategies and aid in future collaborative growth opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Ph.D. preferred
Minimum 2 to 3+ years of relevant experience in advisory, business development, investment and/or consulting experience in biopharma or life sciences
Strong knowledge or interest in healthcare/life sciences therapeutics/drug development in the biopharma sector, with familiarity with clinical trial design, scientific publications, and biopharma investment trends
Proficient in both Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth scientific and financial analyses, including financial modeling and valuations, and defend conclusions
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work effectively in a small, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team
Strong attention to detail, a quick learner, and a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
