Healthcare Strategic Alliance Associate

Job Description

This important role supports the Strategic Alliance - Origination team at MSQ with Biopharma industry-sector science support analysis, scientific therapeutic area research, cold lead sourcing generation, new client prospect outreach, science (ie company’s drug developing pipeline assets) preparation, opportunity assessments-evaluation, capital markets analysis, and project management. You will work closely with senior executives and play an integral role in prospect-client relationship management, pitching, and closing new client engagements.  

Responsibilities:

  • Identify biotech companies with cut-edge technology and urgent needs of patient's data in another region  

  • Prepare and present prospect client(s) discussion materials presentation (ie MSQ’s pitch book), including science analysis ie company’s drug developing pipeline assets, opportunity assessments-evaluation, capital markets analysis, & Biopharma industry-sector science support-research,  

  • Communicate pertinent regulatory, financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise manner to guide and assist decision-makers in Biopharma-related deal transaction opportunities, 

  • Identify new client opportunities and approach-propose potential clients by contacting prospective companies (specifically c-suite) directly in the biopharma space, 

  • Lead the development of new business and the maintenance-improvement of existing business via research coverage of global-regional Biopharma industry trends, analysis, insights and updates, 

  • Market services both to internal-external partners and external clients, develop client networks, and support efforts in identifying and executing sales and marketing strategies, 

  • Maintain high quality of client deliverables by having strong attention to detail. 

  • Help engage new clients from lead generation to intro calls to prospects to engagements 

Requirements:

  • Fresh graduate PhD and/ or Masters in: Biology, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, or other relevant majors 

  • Strong communication skills; Ability to communicate with prospective clients the values of the firm effectively  

  • Capability to make sound decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities 

  • Integrity and hard work ethic with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, including the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team 

  • Based in New York, NY 

  • Proficient in English ie written and spoken
